Vandenberg has about 100,000 acres of mostly open spaces, some very wild, providing some awesome and scenic mountain biking experiences.

You can download georeferenced maps (pdf format) on your smart phone and use in apps like Avensa on the trail.
Trail Status
Current status of the recreational trails on base are listed here.
We hold work days to maintain these trails, generally on the first Saturday of the month. We will add more work days as required and often there is work done during the week.
Trail work is satisfying and the group always has fun!
The club has all the tools needed for a variety of tasks, all you need to bring is a good attitude... and long pants, long sleeve shirt, sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, water and a snack!
If you cannot make one of the club's work days and have some time, you are welcome to do light trail maintenance such as string trimming, pruning and raking/cleanup.
Heavier work must be cleared through a board member as this requires knowledge and skills in power tools, maintenance activities and natural resource conservation requirements. You can work with trained crew leaders on work days and special training sessions to gain knowledge and skills.
